Brisbane gets a lot of people dropping off from Cairns
and Sydney, so we are always offering great deals to
get vehicles to anywhere from Brisbane.
Cairns
As Cairns starts to get busy, you will have to get
smart about finding deals. Right now you will get bargains
on local rentals, which means pick up and drop off in
Cairns. If you are flexible with your dates, let us
know and we will try to squeeze out a killer deal fro
you.
Darwin
Availability is quite limited
through the busy season right now. If you have any trouble
getting a vehicle in Darwin, please contact info@travellers-autobarn.com.au

Melbourne
Its low season in Melbourne,
so there are bargains to be enjoyed on all vehicle classes
to any location. Whether you feel like a long weeknd
trip or starting your Aussie odyssey, call for cheap
rates out of Melbourne
Perth
We are doing deals on both
local rentals and one way to Darwin during peak season.
Remember that you will need 3 weeks to see the west
coast properly on this trip, so plan accordingly. The
good news is that we get cheaper with longer rentals
BOOKING TIPS
Book early, rates are based on availability. As the number of available vehicles at the pick up location decreases the rates increase.
Book long, the rates are tiered 1-14 days, 15-35 days,
36-75 days and 76+ days. The 76+ day rates are so good
that it makes you think twice about buying a car.
The online booking system really works, if you see
a price then the car IS available and that IS the price.....
don't email us separately and ask the price..please
help us keep costs down.
The online booking system will not let you book
the LAST car so if you ever see a message saying "booked
out request availability" then be sure you do.
Alternatively move your pick up and drop off dates a
couple of days either side and see if you get a result.
Always compare the price of your planned trip by reversing
your pick up and drop off locations e.g. If your Cairns
to Brisbane is booked out or $xx a day then look at
Brisbane to Cairns and see if it's not booked or cheaper.
High / Low Seasons
Naturally it is cheaper to rent in low season. The weather
in Australia during these low seasons is generally still
better than Summer in Europe, so get into it!!
Darwin's busy season
is basically July to early November
Cairns is busy most of the year these
days but the quietest months are after Easter to July
Perth, Sydney and Melbourne are busy
in summer and quiet in winter. Melbourne is very quiet
in winter.
Brisbane gets a lot of one way rentals from both Sydney and Cairns which are the 2 busiest branches and as such Brisbane is nearly ALWAYS CHEAPER to pick up than CAIRNS or BRISBANE

CRACKING DEAL on ex-Rental HITOPS for SALE
Our Toyota HiTOPS are amazingly reliable and are very well maintained mechanically….Toyota can take most of the credit but we do look after them very well, it pays to do so, we really do not want any of our rental customers stranded by breakdown anywhere, especially some where in the outback.
In fact, they are so good we’d like to keep renting them but as we rent a lot of our vehicles through travel agents we do have to keep the age of the fleet down. As a result every year towards the end of summer we start to sell (defleet) some of the older vehicles, not because they are tired and old and in need of a rest but simply because we want to keep the rental vehicles all under 8 years old (or thereabouts).
